Upcoming Group Show: In Comfort of Chaos at Kirkland Arts Center

3/6/2022

Picture

The sun is out, spring is on the horizon and my inbox is inundated with emails of upcoming art shows.

This is good news, matter of fact this is great news. One of the things I missed the most during all this craziness is standing in front of artwork. The parade of invitations proliferating my inbox are a sure sign that all is well with the world again and I can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

With that being said I have work in a group show at Kirkland Arts Center.
Below is the information from Kirkland Art Center

Upcoming: In Comfort of Chaos

How do we find order amidst crumbling governments, relationships, and identities? How can the turbulence, anxiety and unrest of todays world pave way for a new sense of clarity and vision? This exhibition seeks works that explores ways in which artists makes sense of time, space, and society when everything around them seems to be falling apart or shifting.

Exhibition Dates: March 23-May 21, 2022.
Opening Reception: Information coming soon!
Gallery Hours:
Wednesdays – Fridays 12 pm – 6 pm
Saturdays 12 pm – 4 pm

Kirkland Arts Center

Sorry for the interruptions in posting, school has started again and this year I am a Junior at Cornish College of the Arts. So needless to say I have been very busy! I still hope to share what I'm working on and plan on writing more.
Our first project of the semester is a collaboration and we have a tumblr page for our group if your interested in what we are doing it is located at:

Who Are You? 2014 CoCA Members' Show

8/29/2014

I have a painting in the upcoming CoCA Members' Show.
The opening reception is Thursday, September 18th, 5-9pm and the exhibit continues through November 7 with additional events.
Below are more details from CoCA's website.
Who Are You?
2014 CoCA Members' Show September 18 - November 7
Georgetown Gallery

CoCA member artists answer the question as to how they define the world, whether through geography, cultural, environmental, or political concerns, social circumstances, or other factors.

Two CoCA Past-Presidents are collaborating to bring the 2014 Member Show to life. Ray C. Freeman III, CoCA President 2009-2013 is producing the show, and it will be juried by Joseph C. Roberts, CoCA Curator since 2007, and CoCA President 2005-2008.

A representative selection of accepted works will be exhibited in the gallery. All accepted works will be exhibited digitally on CoCA’s website, and represented in a printed exhibition catalog.

As of last spring, I've taken up printmaking (a process I've always wanted to learn). Here is my first woodblock.

I find that I am completely infatuated with the process of woodblock printing.
